The Solar Installation Process, Explained In 5 minutes

In this article, I’ll explain the solar installation process in just 5 minutes. I promise you it’s not as complex as you think.

The solar installation can be broken into 5 steps:

  • First, we do a site survey with proposal softwares like OpenSolar, that show if your house is suitable for solar. Then we send you a written quotation and show you the financial payback that you will get from the solar panels. When you accept our quotation, we’ll begin installation at a date and time that’s ideal for you.

Site surveys are crucial to ensure that our solar system is best fitted to your specific house

  • Secondly, we do Mount Fastening. Our verified installers will secure the mounts in position.

When your panels are secure, we’re secure.

  • Thirdly, we secure the solar panels to the mounts. This is key for security and allows your panels to get the maximum light exposure from the sun that they need to generate as much electricity as possible.

  • Fourthly, our installers are adept electricians as well, so we connect your electricity to your newly installed panels.

We use an inverter. (This allows your solar power to be used as electricity!)

  • Finally, we make sure to use solar systems that allow you to track their performance on your phone app so you always can monitor your system. If permitting, we’ll monitor your system for you for the first year free of charge, ensuring that everything is running smoothly as it should be.

If it doesn’t get tracked, it won’t get measured.

So there you go, the solar installation process broken down in few simple steps. It’s not rocket science, but it certainly is solar science.
